Schematicraft ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Minecraft schematic sharing platform.
By using Schematicraft, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information We Collect
Account Information
- Username: Your chosen display name on the platform
- Email address: Used for account verification and important communications
- Password: Stored securely using bcrypt hashing (we never store plaintext passwords)
- Age confirmation: We record that you confirmed you are 13 or older
Content You Create
- Schematics: Files you upload, including metadata and analysis data
- Descriptions: Text you provide for your schematics
- Images: Screenshots and thumbnails you upload
- Tags: Categories and labels you assign to content
Usage Information
- Log data: IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, timestamps
- Feature usage: Which features you use and how often
- Search queries: Terms you search for (anonymized for analytics)
- Feedback and answers: We may ask optional questions to improve the site. Answering is up to you. Answers given while signed in are part of your account data. If you type your own answer while signed out, we keep what you typed and the day you sent it, but nothing that says who you are.
AI Feature Data
- AI requests: We log metadata about AI feature usage (user ID, feature type, success/failure)
- We do NOT log: The actual prompts or AI-generated outputs
- BYOK keys: If you provide your own AI API key, it is encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM
Performance and error data
If you allow measuring on the cookie banner, your browser sends us how long pages take to load, any errors it hits, and which pages you visited. These are tied to a random session ID that ends when you close the tab, never to your account. Grafana Labs stores this for us for 14 days.
Payments
If you subscribe, Stripe processes the payment. Stripe receives your card details and billing details directly, and we never see or store your card number. We keep the Stripe customer and subscription IDs, what you subscribed to, and its status.
Seller Delivery
When someone opens a seller's delivery link, we count opens per link per day, with the kind of store the visit came from (for example Ko-fi). For each download we keep the link, the format and Minecraft release picked, and the time. We don't store the visitor's IP address, account or the page they came from with these counts. The seller sees the counts for their own links.
How We Use Your Information
- Provide services: Enable you to upload, share, and download schematics
- Improve the platform: Analyze usage patterns to enhance features
- Process schematics: Analyze uploaded files for block composition, dimensions, and compatibility
- Communicate: Send important updates about your account or the service
- Security: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Legal compliance: Respond to legal requests and enforce our terms
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data in these circumstances:
- Service providers: Third parties that help us operate the platform (hosting, analytics, performance monitoring by Grafana Labs, and payments by Stripe)
- AI service providers: When you use AI-powered features, relevant content may be processed by third-party AI providers (such as OpenRouter) solely to provide those features. We do not allow AI providers to use this data for advertising or training beyond providing the requested service.
- Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
- With your consent: When you explicitly agree to share information
Public schematics and associated metadata (title, description, tags, images) are visible to all users.

Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data:
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with a cost factor of 12 or higher
- All connections are encrypted via HTTPS
- API keys are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM
- We do not use third-party tracking cookies
- Periodic security reviews and updates appropriate to the platform's scale
Children's Privacy
Schematicraft is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not register or submit any personal information.

Cookies
We use cookies for:
- Essential cookies: Required for authentication and basic functionality
- Preference cookies: Remember your settings and preferences
- Testing, only if you allow it: when we try a change to a feature, the anonymous session cookie decides which version you see, so we can compare how each one works. It holds a random ID, nothing about who you are, and is never shared. With Essential only you always get the standard version.
Accept on the banner allows testing and measuring, Essential only allows neither, and Choose lets you allow one of them. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on the platform or sending you an email. Your continued use of Schematicraft after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
