What carries over, and what does not
Kept
- Every block and its block state
Not carried over
- The paste origin, which is reset to the build's lowest corner
From a placement template to a structure
A Building Gadgets 2 file is a template: a list of block placements. A Create schematic is a captured structure. We read every placement and write the blocks and their states into the structure, so what you built carries over as blocks.
What does not carry is anything that is only meaningful as a template rather than as placed blocks, such as the order the gadget would place them in. The Create schematic holds the finished structure, not the recipe for building it.
Common questions
- Do block states carry over?
- Yes. Every block and its block state is read from the template and written into the Create schematic.
- Do I need Building Gadgets or Create installed to convert?
- No. The conversion runs on our servers. You only need Create in-game to load the result.
