SCHEMATICRAFT

Convert .prefab.json to .nbt online, free

Port a Hytale build to Minecraft. Drop your .prefab.json here, check what carries over, and download a .nbt. Free, and your file is never stored.

Schematicraft translates a Hytale Prefab .prefab.json build into Minecraft, block by block. Blocks carry over. The .nbt does not keep the paste origin.

.prefab.jsonHytale Prefab, Hytaleto.nbtStructure Block / Create, Java

Translated block by block into Minecraft

  • Kept: Blocks that have a Minecraft equivalent
  • Not kept: The paste origin, which is reset to the build's lowest corner Not stored in .nbt

Hytale to Minecraft is a different game, so only blocks with a mapped equivalent carry across.

Convert your file

Convert to

We record formats, blocks and versions, never your file.

After you convert: load it with a structure block or Create

  1. For a structure block, put it in your world.

    /place template minecraft:castle

Use the world's generated/minecraft/structures folder. Place it with the command, or with a structure block in Load mode named minecraft:castle.

  2. For Create, put it in your schematics folder.

That is .minecraft/schematics. Pick it at a Schematic Table, then print it with a Schematicannon.

What each format can store

Data .prefab.json .nbt Result
Block states Yes Yes Kept
Block entities No Yes Not in source
Entities No Yes Not in source
Biomes No No In neither
Multiple regions No No In neither
Scheduled ticks No No In neither
Paste origin Yes No Dropped
  • The vanilla structure format is read by structure blocks and the Create mod.
  • Structure blocks impose a 48 block limit per axis in vanilla; larger builds load in third-party tools but not through a structure block.

Common questions

Which Java version does it write?
It writes the current Minecraft .nbt, translated block by block from your .prefab.json.
Is it free, and do I need an account?
Yes. Converting is free and needs no account. Your file isn't stored.
My file is from a newer release. Will it load in an older one?
Pick the release you play on. The file is written for that release, and any block that release does not have is replaced with the closest one or listed in the report.
What does it drop?
The .nbt cannot store the paste origin. The paste origin is reset to the build's lowest corner.
