Convert WorldEdit .schem to Litematica and back
Upload your WorldEdit .schem and convert it to a Litematica .litematic, then convert the .litematic back to .schem when you need WorldEdit again.
Both conversions run on our servers; you do not need WorldEdit or Litematica installed to make either file.
It's free, there's no account, and we don't store your file.
Steps
- Convert to Litematica.Drop your .schem in the converter and choose Litematica as the target to get a .litematic.
- Build in Litematica.Use the .litematic in Litematica in-game.
- Convert back. When you need WorldEdit again, drop the .litematic in the converter and choose WorldEdit to get a .schem.
What carries over, and what does not
Kept
- Every block and its block state
- Chests, signs and other block entities
- Mobs, item frames and armor stands
Is the round trip loss-free?
Each direction carries what both formats can hold: blocks, block states, block entities and entities all survive a .schem to .litematic to .schem round trip, because WorldEdit and Litematica both hold them.
The one thing to watch is the Litematic Version the file is written at. Litematica reads a file whose Version is at or below its own, so if you write the .litematic for a newer release than the Litematica you open it in, the return trip never happens. Match the release to your Litematica and the round trip is identical.
Common questions
- Will the build be identical after converting back?
- Yes, where both formats hold the data. Blocks, block states, block entities and entities all make the round trip.
- Do I need WorldEdit or Litematica installed to convert?
- No. Both conversions run on our servers. You only need the tool in-game to use the result.
